Musée du Vieux Saint-Etienne

8 cornillon
Roger Broders, Village de Cornillon, 1929

Here’s a drawing I did a few weeks ago now, at the Musée du Vieux Saint-Etienne. I love brightly coloured travel posters like this one here, many of which are also found in the UK, including in two of my favourite museums, the London Transport Museum and the National Railway Museum. I would love to colour this drawing, but I haven’t yet quite worked out how to bring colour into my museum drawings, when they are done on the spot. It’s just a shame you can’t generally paint in a museum! I’m wondering if perhaps oil pastels are a good way forward… Anybody got any ideas for me on that front?
